Hey all, we've just released notifications! We hope this long awaited feature gives comment threads a much needed boost. Looking forward to releasing a few more quality of life updates soon! Currently there's only notifications for comment replies and also top level comment replies if you are the post creator. Let us know if there are any bugs! We hope to release some user preferences in the near future so you have more granular control of what you receive as a notification.

This is very cool. I was thinking long term about creating a custom theme editor and exposing a bunch of variables for people to edit to save their own css schemes but that's probably a long way off atm.

Awesome! How does this work? If someone posts a link to a whtwnd blog you'll injest it and display it as a linked reaction?

Block no longer fully blocks people, it just stops them engaging with you. They also updated their ToS to say that they can use (maybe own??) all content posted there and use it to train Grok so artists etc are rightly annoyed.

I think it was Sky Follower Bridge creating a new session every request but I haven't caught up enough to know if that's the full story!

I would love to do work in something like this with screens piled everywhere but I just don't think it's there yet in its cumbersome form. Have you used one before?

I wondered what you were talking about since I just kept seeing even more black squares but realised I've been in dark mode for so long I didn't even realise they show different colours.

Not at the moment. We have our own lexicon that you can view here https://atproto-browser.vercel.app/at/joelh.social We are thinking about adding cross posting and other features that integrate with bsky at some point but we'd like to get big features out first.

Functionality pretty basic at the moment, just posting links and commenting/upvoting! Notifications should be coming in the next week I believe so you'll be able to see when people reply etc and then communities after that.

Adding communities is on our roadmap. I'm taking some time off soon and hope to work on it! We're also working on notifications etc too.

I'm not sure how you even tackle something like this! There's going to be so many tech illiterate people falling for more and more scams, not even just vulnerable people anymore .

I'm on a new feature spam fest 😂 This should cut the page load times in half for now though! Still working on the db query for it since it's pretty rudimentary and is now getting spammed but it's pretty nifty either way.

It's just an in house report system at the moment that is off the protocol but I've matched up the labels to represent the ones ozone uses in case we want to migrate there at some point. It's just a fairly rudimentary blocker that hides people from our app view if one of the admins accepts a report and we label the user account (also off protocol). We'd probably want to move to supporting external labelers and moderation at some point so everyone has their own semi customised view.

We've just released a new report system and moderation feature. You can access this in the ellipsis dropdown menus located on posts, comments and profiles or the red button on hover cards. This is mostly feature complete, although there are some cosmetic tweaks we would like to incorporate that are curently missing but are being worked on! This brings us one step closer (a very close final hurdle) to general access which we are very excited about. Please let us know about any bugs you encounter by contacting us on BSky. If there's any feature requests you'd like to see implemented, feel free to drop a request in our Github repo!

I recently switched to linux to do most of my work/programming and I've finally got it to a place I like (tiling window manager and all) but I do go back to windows afterwards to play games etc. Linux gets a bit annoying managing scripts or workarounds for basic things (like streaming audio!) but hopefully that will start to improve as more people adopt it. I have been checking out tiling window managers for windows. Was thinking of trying out komorebi. Powertoys introduced a nice pre-saved workspace feature that I've been using too to boot a saved layout + apps.

Oh this will be an interesting listen, thanks! I've been enjoying the influx of users to BSky and hope it advertises the platform on a global scale more because of it but I only had a brief overview of why it was happening so it will be good to fully understand what's going on.
