laurenshof.online
it also works with bluesky videos
doing pretty well at that :D
<3 thank you! Also, sneak peak, I'm in the middle of expanding this project, so stay tuned for me
all interactions on atproto are stored in your PDS (repo). Different modalities (microblogging/linkaggregators) use different 'Lexicons', a way to determine the format of the interaction, basically. Different lexicons are not mutually legible, but a platform can decide to support multiple lexicons if they want to. You can actually see the content of your PDS here: https://atproto-browser.vercel.app/at/wake.st You can see all the app.bsky stuff, thats all your interactions on bluesky, as well as the fyi.frontpage.unravel.comment. thats where this comment lives
awesome!
What makes it such a fun project for me is that its a collective experiment and search for finding out of atproto is actually a good protocol to build an irc-like chatroom on. Its currently definitely an alpha and very much an in-development project, but its going much further much faster than i expected. Theres already multiple appviews for example, and the concepts of different rooms are now being worked on. But if it will scale to a large number of users, not the faintest idea, only one way to find out One thing that Picochat has that I think is valuable is a small but growing userbase that likes using the app for its own sake, simply for chatting with the people there, its not just purely a tech demo anymore
cool! can you tell a bit more about the backend? is it a completely separate system, or does it use ozone in some way?
